Sony PVM20M4U Color Video Monitor

Monitor has been fully recapped and crt tube rejuvenated by retired Sony tech instructor, Pat Savon, in prepartion for this sale. He also calibrated it’s geometry and convergence. Anti-glare film has been painstakingly removed in order to provide the clearest image and colors possible.
This model (20M4U), has a higher tv line count (800) than Sony PVM 20M2U (600) and Sony PVM 20L2MD (600) and same tv line count as in the 20L5. Having a higher tv line count is what is responsible for producing sharper picture quality and more defined (thicker) scan lines which lead to crisp retro console image quality.
This monitor has very minor screen burn which does not impact the image if brightness is kept below 50%. This is plenty bright as this tv tube has been rejuvenated and provides a very bright image. If you push brightness higher than recommended, the blacks will show some redness. If you keep brightness under 50%, the image looks without any evidence of screen burn. Personally, I use it at night in the dark and leaving brightness lower than 25% on all my PVMs and BVMs to have more perfect black levels that can’t be achieved on LED monitors. I am pretty confident you will love the picture quality on this monitor, so free to come down and take a look in person before purchasing.
Monitor is being sold without any other cables (ie power or bnc cables which are readily and cheaply available on eBay.
